This is just the overture.

There's all sorts of sleaze being discussed there, and the Canes' faithful aren't holding back.

Seems like a Lavar Ball situation where dad is trying everything to capitalize on his kids potential. Unfortunately, if the kid doesn't live up to the expectations, he's the one that will catch the backlash while daddy sits back and counts his millions, which he'll lose in "failed business ventures".
Glad dad was able to find a lawyer as slimy as he is to try and pry more money out of his kids potential. Probably already sending out feelers for bids for 2025.
I also feel badly for the kid, but he did bring it upon himself by reneging on his original commitment to Miami.
He would have had a golden opportunity there, since Van Dyke transferred out in November 2023, and by the bowl game, they had no scholarship quarterbacks available. He wouldn't have gotten beaten to a bloody pulp like he did behind Arizona State's truly horrible offensive line that got Drew Pyne all but mangled (and I also feel badly for Mr. Pyne).
I'm pretty sure that the booster for Miami, John Ruiz, would have had no problems paying all of that money, seeing how he's worth at least $15 billion...
The article states that he had committed to Miami for $9.5 million, but gave them the middle finger in favor of the promised of almost $14 million with Florida.
From what was said in the below article, he turned away the Florida boosters' initial offer of $11 million, and his lawyer said some damning things even before the booster club upped its offer.
"Millions. He did not pick the highest offer. He went there because he loves Miami, the coaches and the opportunity."
"Florida is the most dysfunctional collective in all of college football," he said. "I plan on steering my clients away from them. From my standpoint, I never ever want to deal with them again. If it weren't for the collective that's completely dysfunctional at Florida, he probably would have been there." - Michael Caspino

Carson Beck is firmly entrenched for this year.
Gunner Stockton looks to be ready to step in at a moment's notice.
There's a high 4 star 2024 freshman, Ryan Pugsli, who is quite polished as a true frosh, with a hell of a strong arm.

Why referenced.
WTF.
If this doesn't open a few more doors as to how bad this is and how it is changing the College Football landscape, nothing will
