sure that some are happy. There have to be many who want this guy gone.

required at some point.
ND can do better. Even if it is in the South. Corruption seems to be part of the conference's culture.

Indiana University could have been more relevant, but Michael Penix bolted for much greener pastures, and they ended up at the bottom.
Otherwise, the only relatively "clean" ones just happen to be the bottom feeders.
I have no desire to see ND joining the Big Ten as a football affiliate. We can leverage our own strength, and have plenty of money in return without joining a football conference.

As despicable as that unholy institution may be, I find it odd that a program of that stature would just release him into the cold without even giving him an academic scholarship, especially given the circumstances of the player being suicidal. They would certainly gain a lot of positive press by declaring that he'd be given an academic scholarship, and that they need all of the positive press they can get in this day and age. The stench of Jerry and Joe still remains strong to this date.
Now, the rest of what the doctor said? That's pretty much common practice everywhere, regarding getting certainly players medically disqualified to clear roster space for another scholarship player, pushing medical staff to clear injured players, etc.
As bad as it sounds, I actually agree with James Franklin here, that a suicidal player isn't going to be fit for the team, just as a player with a severely broken leg, crushed orbital eye socket, physical heart defects, etc., wouldn't be fit either.
His athletic scholarship spot would be better occupied by someone who could actually contribute, but as I stated above, the player should still be given an academic scholarship, even if it were just to buy some good vibes.

It was probably a basement window.
Remember, it was Penn State.

One of the architects or big shot builders of the bookstore was also PSU grad that my boss knew. This guy claimed that he spray painted "PSU" on one of the steel beams for the roof and it was installed that way. That means, if true, the "PSU" tag is part of the ND campus experience. And now you know the full story.
