They were already sucking wind with 5 minutes left to go in the 3rd quarter, and that was a team with plenty of NFL talent on it.
Holtz made it know we were going to run it down their throats. Slocum and Davie knew we were going to run it down their throats, and they still couldn't stop us. There weren't any notable long runs, just a bunch of 5+ yard runs that moved the pile.
Texas A&M wasn't overrated in any way. Some may point out that the score would have been closer if Quentin Coryatt would have stayed for his senior year, but hypotheticals don't count.
There was simply no doubt that we were the best team at the season's end. Unfortunately, we shot ourselves in the foot with that Stanford loss.
On another note, it should have been 35-3, if it weren't for a silly fumble by Mike Miller. I remember actually chuckling a bit when that happened, since the game's outcome was already well beyond any doubt.
I still have that "Catholics vs Rednecks" t-shirt somewhere in my attic, I think...
