It's as if the person calling the plays (whether it be Atkins or Norvell himself) were afraid to throw downfield, which is Uiagaleili's biggest strength. Making him throw all of those dink 'n dunk passes against a squatting defense doesn't seem to follow common sense.
Then the call on 4th and long at the GT 31 yard line, not kicking the FG, that was the icing on the cake.

It actually looked a LOT like Tommy Rees calling plays without Brian Kelly there to set him straight.
They ran quite a few slowly developing running plays, and that GT defense had plenty of time to swarm around the RB's, especially given the O-line's performance.

Problem may be that the 5* all world high school recruit isn't as good as the star sniffers think he should be.
