I doubt that more portal additions would have flipped this game. Georgia is the new Alabama, and Kirby Smart is the new Nick Saban. He has done a very fine job of taking what was a pretty talented roster (inherited from Richt), and elevating the performance to the point where they are now part of that "big boys" club.
Clemson is down a couple of notches from their heydays just 4-5 years ago, and their offensive line isn't nearly as good as the ones from back then. When that big kid, Phil Mafah, can't get his usual 4+ yards a carry, it definitely shows that Georgia easily won the battle in the trenches.
Clemson's defense actually played very well, especially in the 1st half, but since their offense wasn't sustaining drives, they got gassed in the 2nd half.
They'll still contend for a top 10 position, since the ACC looks weaker this year, and they don't play us this year.
