but looking at Purdue and noticing they've done a really nice job in the portal.
That game could be a lot tougher than it originally appeared. At their house, experienced and talented QB, added speed to the roster and almost no film (at least not any worth anything) to scout from. They look like they could be Louisville from last year, from a roster perspective.
That game could be very interesting.

They just don't know it yet.
Purdue sucks.
If enough ND players read that, they might THINK they can win the game by just showing up. ND has proven this can happen more times than I care to list/remember. I just believe that at times they have lost to inferior teams. This usually happens because those teams took the game way more seriously than the Irish.
For most teams, this is their super bowl. The Irish have to play with passion and intensity each game (avoid the letdown) in order to avoid said upsets.
Undergrad engineering degree from Purdue. As soon as he said he went to Purdue, my wife blurted out Pur-don’t. She looked at me and said u taught me that . I was embarassed but he said to me, u are an ND grad aren’t you.
We had a good laugh. Very smart guy
but I'm still really impressed with what they did in the portal. Was expecting to see transfers from Cal Tech and Colorado School of the Mines. Instead they pulled in kids from UGA, Kentucky, UCLA, ND......
Very impressive considering who are (aren't).
Who did they take from ND, for example?
from those schools (4 from UGA, QB from Texas) is impressive for Purdue.
My hats off to em, they may actually be serious about fielding a football team. Whether it pans out or not, who knows.
OL Joey Tanona was the ND player and he's a backup there as well.
