1 - Absolutely a necessary win for MF and The Irish. This embarrassing schedule now sets them up well.
2 - I believe these conferences are colluding to force us into a conference by not scheduling us. That sucks. I wish other schools had the balls to go independent (even if just in football).
3 - Cannot say enough about Al G and his D. However, that A&M QB did miss some opportunities. Watching LSU-USC QB's throw absolute darts the entire game is worrisome for the future if we see QB play like that.
4 - I think Leonard will be fine. He missed a few huge throws early but I love the added run element he brings. Hope they bring back some of the 3 TE sets we ran with Kyren and run the crap out of QB Power.
5 - Collins looks like an absolute dawg. We need to be pushing the ball down the field way more, even if Leonard struggles. Teams have simply loaded the box and forced every QB since Book to try and throw over the top. We gotta find ways to stretch the field.
6 - We have 2 absolute stud RB's. Wow.
7 - Where were the TE's? Hope that picks up later and sure hope 88 is ok.
8 - Well done young bucks on the OL (although 72 looked really shaky at times). Continue to grow.
9 - Why can't we put 2 guys back to field punts? Didn't we sign an All-American returner? A&M flipped the field multiple times with their punter in big situations and we never adjusted.
10 - Having watched the Irish since the early '70's I will say this: NO LET DOWNS! This is setting up to be an 11-1 season at worst as long as we take care of business. Need to B-slap Louisville and take care of Ga Tech while not playing down to the rest of the schedule which seems to happen at least 3 times a year over the last decade or so.
Great start! December home playoff game! Go Irish!
It wasn't put together for YOU. And 2) ND plays 8 power 5 conference teams, if they're colluding, they're doing a terrible job of it.

Solid analysis, were you able to get past #1?
1 - Absolutely a necessary win for MF and The Irish. This embarrassing schedule now sets them up well. Embarrassing ?? - 6th toughest schedule in college football - https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other
2 - I believe these conferences are colluding to force us into a conference by not scheduling us. That sucks. I wish other schools had the balls to go independent (even if just in football). Couldn't disagree more. More teams will go independent soon.
3 - Cannot say enough about Al G and his D. However, that A&M QB did miss some opportunities. Watching LSU-USC QB's throw absolute darts the entire game is worrisome for the future if we see QB play like that. LSU and USC defense (no pressure all night) are not in the same sentence as Texas AM and ND
5 - Collins looks like an absolute dawg. We need to be pushing the ball down the field way more, even if Leonard struggles. Teams have simply loaded the box and forced every QB since Book to try and throw over the top. We gotta find ways to stretch the field. - Denbrock manged this game perfectly. New OL, New QB, Great Defense - Let the defense win the game, No offensive mistakes - perfect game calling.
7 - Where were the TE's? Hope that picks up later and sure hope 88 is ok. - Flanagan 3rd most productive reciever
8 - Well done young bucks on the OL (although 72 looked really shaky at times). Continue to grow. Pendleton sprung both big runs
9 - Why can't we put 2 guys back to field punts? Didn't we sign an All-American returner? A&M flipped the field multiple times with their punter in big situations and we never adjusted. Why?

As stated above - 6th toughsest schedule in College Football

I don't. Just a guess. And unfortunately I think we will be squeezed long term into joining a conference - probably the boring Big 10. I always look forward to the Irish playing a tough schedule and this year it's not even close. That's all. Not a personal attack on anyone. Not a single game against a legitimate playoff contender except possibly USC - and that is a stretch. I will still cheer on the Irish and attend at least 2 games.

Outside of Michigan, Oregon and Ohio State, does anyone in that conference excite you as an opponent? I love the USC rivalry but cannot think of them as a Big 10 team. Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern, Illinois, Rutgers, Purdue, Maryland, UCLA, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan State, Wisconsin go from mildly amusing at best to absolute crap. Penn State is a good team but Good Lord are they boring - just put them down for 10-2 and move on. Washington is kind of a cool place but they will shrink to obscurity again soon enough. I think that is everyone. Might have missed a few.
As a fan who loves to travel to support the Irish the last places I want to be are in the towns most of these teams play in. The last thing I would want is to be in a conference but I am afraid eventually we have no choice.
We need to find a way into the SEC. Might hurt the overall record but it would be a hell of a ride - especially if you have ever been to many of those towns.
Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, Penn State, USC, Washington....
