We have a minor league football team attached to the university. Let's not pretend things are like they used to be.

If NIU can pull off a good season, many of those "NIU students" will be "students" at other schools next year. They are mercenaries, not "lads" or "students." And I say that without judgement of them. Who can blame them? Unfortunately, it destroys all that we loved about college football.

ND has been so, so soft for decades. It's a long way from Chris Zorich and Bryant Young.
Just saw an interview with Teo, and he talked about how intimidated the team was when Bama came past them in the tunnel before the NC game in 2012. And that was, on paper, ND's strongest team in the past quarter century. What a joke.
