Riley Leonard had ample protection on a large percentage of his dropbacks. So pass protection is not the issue, nor is the O line.
The coaches need to recognize the obvious that Leonard is not the right QB to lead this team. Steve Angeli has mostly played very well when given a chance. Name him the starter and then the WRs can run more dynamic routes instead of this 5-yard passing to stationary receivers stuff. In turn, the running game gets opened up.
Defense is not the problem. I'm not sure how much input Freeman gives to Denbrock but continuing to play Leonard is a huge mistake.
We are over-rated. NIU is under-rated.
Time stop making bullshit hype videos and dancing like jackasses in a room full of fire crackers.
to beat the big teams, and include A & M , we need a little more dynamic QB than Angeli. If he goes in I will be rooting for him though. Carr is our best option. &

Either one would be an upgrade. No problem with either.

Let's see what he can do when the bullets fly.
We change QBs and win out, and we can blame Leonard for the loss.

Very few players seemed to want to be there, I'm not sure how that happens, but it's on the coach to prevent it.

it's not like the team can win a playoff game with Leonard

Write it off, and if Carr comes in and does well you're golden. Either way.
