Angeli, Minchey, and Carr must be scratching their collective head today.

ND paid millions for an oft-injured, noodle-armed QB, and essentially shut down any QB competition.

Every first team rep goes to Riley. That has to change, starting today.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
Invincibility with no vulnerability

of it. ND brought in portal QB’s, who based on the eye test, really aren’t better than the QB’s ND recruited, but to save face, all the reps are going to the portal QB’s and our own guys aren’t being developed yet have higher upside.

Which does not make him a reliable QB.

He needs to backup Angeli.

Agreed.Unless we change QB's, the offense will continue to struggle.

A one-headed QB with six legs might be the ticket, if only as a novelty.

well, MF can change QBs but then you still have the OL, Special Teams, & suddenly the "D".

It wasn't one thing vs NIU. It was everything.

D was fine, gave up only 10 points based not on turnovers, and the one TD NIU scored was a fluke play.

Both blocked FGs were on the kicker, sort of, who kicked low trying to get the needed distance.

OL, honestly, wasn't that bad. The problem was/is Leonard can't throw, NIU crowded the line of scrimmage daring him to throw, which made it hard to run (which explains why we had so few rushing attempts). Leonard isn't comfortable throwing anything other than dink-and-dunks Hartman (who I thought was okay but certainly not great last year) would have eaten their lunch.

Start CJ next week.
