I’m ready to see Angeli, Minchey or Carr and I’m not sure I really care

which one I see at this point. I’m guessing every one of them is a better passer than Leonard. When are we ever going to be able to throw downfield? Haven’t been able to since Kizer and before that you’ve got to go back to the Charlie Weis days. Thought Leonard would have an arm and he underthrew his 30 yard pattern by at least 10 yards. Angeli can throw a deep ball…we’ve seen it. The other two probably can as well.

Where is the power running game? Why can’t our OL move MAC DL around and why are we running stretch plays to the perimeter?

Leonard’s legs will work if we either have 1. a high quality power running game or 2. an effective passing game that can threaten downfield. Right now we can’t run for power and can’t throw downfield. If that’s the case, we ought to go with the QB that can throw downfield and get the ball to the receivers on time and on the money.

This whole OL should be coming back next year as well as the RBs, TE’s and some WRs. I’d be fine going with Carr for that reason, to develop him and build for the future. Fine with Angeli and fine with Minchey too.

What I’m not fine with is going through another season like the last where opposing teams put 8 in the box and we can’t do anything…where we spend the entire season debating whether it’s the QB or WR fault. It seems as if that is where we are headed.

I'd like to see players who will be competing in 2025 getting reps.

The transfers/upperclassmen can take a seat if they're not producing.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Spot on. Keep RL and MF totally out of the offense for the rest of the year.

3 years of offensive struggles with 3 different OCs and 3 different QBs but Freeman is the common factor.

Me, too, but we all know Leonard is starting next week

The question is, when (not if) the offense remains anemic, will Freeman replace him?

Leonard can start, but he better be on a short leash

Angeli also needs to get some reps with the first team this week to get him ready to go.

That’s where I get very unhappy with Free. Too stubborn to admit he made a mistake.

It's his first head coaching job. He's personally less secure because of that.

Angeli without question. He would have started the Spring and had the job and Leonard would have

never been offered.

It was clear then. Carr would get game reps to see if he has potential to beat Angeli out, but worse case would get real college football action to see what he is. He looks good for a FR but you never know until the game on Saturday is played. Angeli has more than proved himself the right to show that he can handle it. Based on what we saw in the bowl game he is clearly better than Leonard. He is a complete QB at least.

100% correct. That's what leadership is...having the guts to pull the trigger on change that

needs to be made. We see it clearly as a fan base and we'll know if Freeman has the guts to do it. There might be some pain involved in doing it but that pain will be less than enduring another season like the last.

down field. Kind of kid you root for so maybe I’m biased but don’t think so.
