Sometimes its pure luck. None of these guys walked in with 100% percent certanty they were the guy. Saben had one great year at LSU; Carroll was their 4th or 5th choice; Smart had never been a head coach. All these guys were sure things - Lincoln Riley, Billy Napier, Hugh Freeze. Its a crap shoot.
