.... the loss to NIU was the worst loss in ND's history.
A loss that gets a QB benched and a coach fired....as they said.
Willingham? He would love for Freeman to be canned this year so he could go on another "Racist Notre Dame" rant!
Difference between a turd like ty and Freeman is that Freeman wouldn't feed into that narrative like ty did.
...Freeman is panning out to be a combination of Davie and Faust. Not happy about it...
ND would be in a better place if they fired those guys after three...but they didn't.
Stupid to be caught up in "honoring the contract" these days. The contract has a negotiated buyout clause for a reason...sometimes you have to honor it that way.
I wanted ty gone because he was terrible...terrible!
I don't "want" Freeman gone, I'm just looking at reality.
I like hime a lot. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have the luxury of replacing a complete failure in Davie.
Marcus Freeman came in after the most successful period since Holtz, so he is held to a higher standard and expected to take us to the next level. It appears he is absolutely not ready to do that at this point in his development and sitting around waiting, just hoping that things click could set the program back another 20 years.
He needs to show something major like right now, or we'll be in a position where we have to move on regardless how 'racist' this makes us by public perception.

us. Dishonorable mention: Second Navy loss by Bubba, Tulsa by Bubba, Marshall by Free, the Shoelaces loss by Bubba, NIU by Free.

Guy just keeps hurting the Irish. Remember when people here actually thought it was a great hire. It’s a long time ago - a couple years! - but I can still just barely remember it.

Kelly far too long. Bubba, though I disliked him the more and more I got to know of him (and then met him a couple times), was the right choice at the time he was initially hired.
After his NFL stunt prior to the Championship game in 2012, Swarbrick should have been prepared to replace him at ALL times, and clearly was not...
Dereliction of duty by Swarbrick on that front...(as well as sticking with Brey for much too long).
Swarbrick did good things for the non-revenue producing sports...but got complacent with the coaches in the revenue producing ones when he clearly shouldn't have.
