So it’s a habit that can be broken?
Don’t get me wrong. We’ve had many coaches I’ve felt poorly about. But this was a known risk with someone very very young who has so many positive personality characteristics. The idea was that he showed promise to grow. His ceiling is so high. I’m willing to give the process more time. My ego is not seriously dependent on how our team performs. I care more how the University is doing on the whole

I am an alum and the University will always do well, but the football team makes the national
headlines and although campus life is better than when we were there, we still need the football team to do well and I really care about the football team.
