What are the three other QBs thinking right now

And how many leave after the season?

Same with the WRs.

Let alone Leonard getting more carries than Love.

The offense is a disgrace.

Kris Mitchell was a 1000 yd receiver … what is he thinking?! I’d be overly frustrated.

Steve had all Spring as #1 QB. Did he impress? Seize the job? Seal the deal?

They paid for him, so they had to give Leonard the job. It was a business decision

This offseason will be interesting to say the least at QB, RB, WR. One can only hope everyone stays

but it would not at all be a surprise to see a mass exodus.

Just my thoughts. Whether or not players already have handlers or get handlers post season it will make a huge difference in what ND looks like next season.

1. I wouldn't blame Angeli or Minchey for going. Given, that Minchey has already looked around per rumors I'd say he's gone (see: Mickey).
2. Carr would need a guarantee (IMO) that there is a chance for a *real* competition and not another situation where the job is automatically handed over to whomever they bring in from the portal. Otherwise, he's gone (much lower odds).
3. Price, feels like he stays, but he could easily be a top back somewhere if actually given carries. Love will have to really "love" ND or someone will poach him with money. He has that level of talent. The same could be said for Price. The younger backs will depend on their temperament for not really playing.
4. From a WR perspective, much like the QBs I wouldn't fault anyone for leaving. The window for making a mark in college and prepping for a potential NFL gig is closing. The mismanagement, bad decisions, and very poor QB play severely impacts any WR at ND from having a real chance of being drafted. Like it or not, every top tier player desires to play in the NFL. College is only an auditioning ground. Additionally, the offense for years seems only to want to showcase a TE, if we do decide to throw the ball downfield. I think Faison stays strictly for Lacrosse (unfortunately a great talent, but injured this season). It would not surprise me to lose at least two if not more from this position.

Everyone said it’s going to happen. Well I call BS in that.

If u had a kid capable of playing NFL QB or WR, would u really consider sending him to ND? Maybe a legacy kid or some family that had strong Christin valies or values the education but if u made a football decision, no way is that kid going to ND.

We would be fortunate to have Carr in the roster next year

Good observations. The lack of stud offensive talent with the current recruiting class is a concern,

and the thought was recruits are probably just waiting to see the ND offense. Deuce is a high ranked recruit but most likely we will lose him. Not sure the offense has been doing itself any favors in terms of being appealing for stud WR recruits. Just strange considering Denbrock was considered a very sought after OC but it hasn’t been so far been yielding any top offensive recruits. Based on the product and eye test, not really all that surprising.

IMO, there is a 10% chance or less Knight is coming to ND. At least not without a huge paycheck.

better than Parker. The QB play is by far the biggest issue especially when you can’t throw effectively down field or lack an accurate arm. I guess Denbrock was lucky to have NFL first round talent at the QB and WR positions when he was at LSU.

one dimensional. If he was at all accurate, this offense would be much different. If Carr can’t start next year, the future is bleak for ND. If he’s not better than an Angelli who can’t see the field now will be extremely worrisome. I could see Minchey going to Miami, OH.

I will say I’m very much surprised there haven’t been more jet sweeps and 21 or even 20 personnel.

Carr has to earn the QB and just might but freeman has to lift the 3 yards and a cloud of dust

Mentality.

And someone has to let it coach out QBs to use the middle of the damn field past the 5 to 10 yard mark.

Is so bad it’s not worth staying.

I don’t know what goes on in practice but Carr transferring has to be a real possibility if that family knows football as well as u think they should.

Minchey is also in no man’s land unless Carr transfers. I don’t see either one beating out Angeli if all freeman wants is a game manager

who takes every shot and pretty much ruins the game.

I am guessing the QB’s know who is the best and those who recognize they may never start barring an injury will get the degree and transfer. if the ““right guy is in the portal again this year I would expect Freeman to bring in another transfer.

i don’t think WR makes that much of a difference until ND has a QB who can get them the ball. They are easy to find in the portal.
