I'm not sure if there'll be a change in QB sans an injury, but if there is a change in QB....

then I think Kenny Minchey should be the starting QB.

I get why MF is reluctant to replace Leonard (other than ND shelling out $1MM+ for his services). MF & Denbrock know that the OL is a major weakness due to inexperience/injuries & therefor the QB has to be mobile to avoid constant pressure from opposing defenses.

RL is just too inaccurate a passer to keep the starting role. The guy can't make passes that high school QBs (many who will never play at any level of CFB) make with ease every Friday night.

Angeli isn't mobile enough & Carr is too green, plus I've not heard anything in regards if he's mobile enough to avoid defensive pressure either.

Minchey (in his very limited playing time) has demonstrated enough mobility & accuracy to be given a shot. Minchey supposedly has the strongest arm of the 4 QBs as well.

ND has a serious chance of finishing the regular season 11-1 IF we can develop a downfield passing game that opposing defenses have to respect & therefor opening up the playbook so our star players (Love, Price, Evans, etc.) can excel and give our defense a break once in a while as well so they're not exhausted by spending over 1/2 the game on the field.

OL has not run or pass blocked well. Less mobile QB and we'd hardly score at all.

Had he wanted to transfer, he would have already done it. He was bypassed this year for Leonard, was recruited over with Carr, and Knight for that matter, with a new OC who places value on mobile qbs, which Angeli isn't.

Angeli realizes that he doesn't have a pro future and values the ND degree/experiences. I could see him as a grad transfer when he gets his degree but not before then.

Minchey is the more probable transfer possibility. Unless he really progresses this year and in spring, he is likely stuck as the #4 guy behind Carr, Knight (assuming he comes) and Angeli with little path to playing time.

My understanding is Angeli is graduating in three years

If so, I can see him going somewhere else.

agreed that if he graduates in 2025, he's likely gone

Probably getting the degree has kept him from leaving this year.

Good for him whatever he chooses. He might end up staying if he finds an appropriate grad program at ND that meets his interest.

He should. Where has his loyalty gotten him here?

Freeman is far too conservative for that to happen.

He didn't take RL out against NIU when he was injured.

Minchey will hit the portal in December.

We better make sure we hold on to carr or minchey. I could see both leave

Carr has a shot to start next year. Minchey will stay around to see how it plays out, but...

after spring he may be gone. Hoping Angleli hangs around to be back-up. I'm not at practice - my 2 cents.

If I am carr and his family I would wonder if it’s with sticking around for.

He cannot be seeing much so far to make him believe freeman will let any QB play an NFL style game

Are you kidding? He is a freshman who loves ND. People are already raving about him.

If he loves the school and get a a chance to play next year then it’s all good.

Minchey will likely be the one that leaves
