They're a quality team
They're definitely not overrated, and if they can take out a pretty good SMU team this weekend, they'll continue earning respect. They could have taken us out Saturday, but a clutch performance by a good defense stopped them.
Tyler Shough, the 7th year senior, is a much better quarterback than Jack Plummer was last year, and they'll put up some significant points against any other team. He had shown a strong, accurate arm back when he was a true junior / redshirt soph at Oregon and was pressed into service for that significantly shortened COVID season.
Another key play was the QB fumble after the long run. That stopped a possible scoring drive.

I did not see a weakness in their QBs game and that fake on that play was terrific. Their two
receivers were good too. They were fortunate on that little pitch by the QB to the tight end on the play where a sack looked like it was coming.
I actually followed the RB & had no clue the QB broke it for a long gainer.
