The question is how common that response will be for any Power team
when the players realize mid-season that they won't be in the playoff mix?
This is why I think the non-playoff bowls may be at risk,
because the non-playoff Power teams will mostly opt-out.

That of course is not uncommon. The larger question is if becomes very
prevalent at Power programs with low player team loyalty because of NIL
and the Portal,when those Power teams fall out of the playoff picture.

Opting out of bowl games is now common. Will opting out mid-season of
non-playoff Power teams with rosters full of NIL player and potential Portal transfers
become the norm?
It won't take too many opt-out starters to poison a locker room even mid-season.
