Vandy would beat NIU. NIU would not beat Bama on Bama's worst day IMHO.
Each loss is equally shocking as was the Michigan loss to App State. To us Irish fans, the loss to NIU will not be soon forgotten or forgiven whether we get in or not. It's part of the Marshall, Stanford, OSU missing men, and NIU lore. Irish fans were still talking about NIU at the Louisville game. Don't doubt me.

That was then. This is now. That loss was over 20 yrs ago. Bama was a 4 win team that yr.
I believe The Tide also lost to Louisiana Monroe or someone like that just before or in the very early yrs of Saban. They found their way out of the traffic circle. ND is still going round and round. No one on planet Earth thought the Vandy game was a trap game. Same for the NIU game. Self motivation seems to be lacking.
