I hope that USC wins, and wins convincingly, crushing Penn State's hopes and spirits.
Penn State's football program must die. The fact that they're still around to this date, shows that the NCAA is too afraid to take any real action against them.
Yes, everyone knows what Jerry Sandusky did, and what Paterno did to cover things up, but there were other incidents that were in the same ballpark of horror level.

The crap pulled off by Jerry Sandusky was just the straw that broke the camel's back, and even then, it could have been swept under the rug, especially in the older days.
The way that Paterno covered up for his star talented player, Todd Hodne, is something that everyone should be familiar with, and basically sent the message that he could do anything he wanted without fear of any real consequences.
He got busted for thievery, and instead of kicking him off the team, Paterno simply said that he could return later. Hodne went on to commit forcible, armed rape against a PSU student.
Paterno even strong-armed the local media into downplaying the first rape that Hodne had been arrested for, and the university even sent in Penn State's high priced "fixer" lawyer to represent him in the trial, as well as probably strong-arming the judge into letting him stay free on bail, where he committed even more rapes.
Hodne was then released very early on parole (was supposed to serve up to 21 years), and he went on to murder a taxi cab driver shortly after being released.
The article I've linked only talks about the ones Hodne had been found guilty of committing. For every one that he was found guilty of having done, I'd bet dollars to dimes that there were at least twice as many that nobody reported, or reported and got squashed, especially with Paterno covering up with things.

USC is a rival that is acceptable, PSU hates us because they are jealous of us. They are 15 minutes
on the hour of history of college football while we are the full hour. This drives them nuts. Paterno hated us and enjoyed beating us more than anyone. I dislike USC and Michigan but PSU with their northern red neck fans not even accepting the guilt of Paterno? This only grows their inferiority complex hate against us and therefore I detest them. They try to sell the fact that their players are good students, which is bullshit mostly and Paterno has covered for much bad behavior from their players. See Hodne from Long Island.

Sadly I fear you are right and though I do not think they are that good, they play tough against
big name opponents generally. They also have many close games against weak opponents. I am not talking about the upsets, they seem to eek out wins by 3 or 7 points quite often against mediocre teams.
