Not as trivial as they said it was.
We considered it the price of independence. They do not like what it does to their performance.
Regular, cross country travel in the middle of the schedule isn’t as easily dismissed these days.
travelling east is far more difficult for athletes than going west. That is why I questioned if any thought or sound reasoning was put into the PAC-12 disbanding...other than greed. Really tough for them to compete going east so often.
The $$ coming in is too great for super-conferences. If Nebraska cannot get away from the Big 10, no one will be able to short of a sharp correction in television revenue.
how Hammerhead Franklin is whining about the long trip they have out to U$C this week!!! Hope the Peds get destroyed!!!

College is 2 hrs. away in Harrisburg, and that his team needed to ride 2 hrs. in a bus and then fly 5 hrs. to L.A.....he's a pile of crap.
label put on them because of a few bad Priests. Sandusky is beyond a creep. He is a monster! Not all people associated with Penn state are PEDS,,,
It was more than a few. It was institutional.

a small percentage of the overall number of priests did account for a majority of the cases. According to a study conducted by John Jay College in 2002, about four percent of the population of American priests were named in accusations between 1950 and 2002. And a smaller percentage of that four percent were named multiple times. Way worse than the general pop, obviously, but still a pretty small part of the entire priestly class.
Philip Jenkins and several other sociologists have studied and noted that, although the data are sketchy, the evil of child sexual abuse was possibly even more widespread in public schools. Many legal and institutional factors made it much easier ( and more lucrative!), however, to get the Church’s criminal actors than those in other settings dealing with children where abuse often occurs.
Not to say the Church didn’t deserve to feel the full force of the law. Peds need to be locked up and those who enable them need to be held accountable. But it is hard not to see a certain cynicism in the legal and media focus on the one setting of institutional abuse

called itself Penn St
instead of the poor kids who were abused. As for their fans it was amazing how they were all over that red headed coach who first brought it up. What a joke Penn State fans are!
relatives) who are very nice people. As far as rooting for SC tomorrow - no way in hell! Former team members can tell some stories of the "mellow Cali SC team members and fans".....

The Pac teams dominated the Rose Bowl because Big Ten teams were built to win in a midwestern November, not Pasadena on NYD.

The temperature and weather on January 1 in Pasadena is literally perfect. It can even be cold having attended many a Rose Bowl parade.
Do you just make this shit up? Trying to convince someone that 72 degrees and 40% humidity is challenging weather conditions for a Midwest team.
Before field turf, electronic hand and bench warmers, and overcoats were standard, players for the Big 10 needed to be able to thrive in late fall and early winter conditions. That was a different offense and profile of player. All that cold weather conditioning is for nothing in lovely Pasenda.
Schools in the Big 10 are just about as likely now to have high powered passing attacks. Back in the day the PAC10 was known for high-powered offenses
Examples, FSU coming to South Bend in November/December is a disadvantage for FSU, but ND going down to FSU in November/December wouldn't be a disadvantage for ND.
Switch that to ND going to FSU in August and that's going to be a disadvantage for ND, but it won't bother FSU coming to South Bend in August.
No team from anywhere is going to be hindered by the temperature of going to SoCal for a December/January bowl game.
lighting and the humidity was horrendous. So we lost to USF because, that’s Florida weather? I remember going to the linebacker and watching the rest of that debacle with a few beers in AC…
unless one coach prepared their players for wet balls better, but you are going to be acclimated physically to rain.
Extreme Heat and Extreme Cold are completely different things than rain.

How trips like USC to UM, Wiscy to USC, or this week’s PSU to USC trip affect their records.
