I feel like it is the quiet change that will still have a big impact. Definitely 3rd to NIL and Transfers, but still huge.
1. Teams can add 20 scholarship players to the current 85 limit for a total of 105.
2. Walk-ons are adversely affected. The total roster can only be 105 at start of season vs. current cap of 120. Net loss of 15 bodies for the 3rd string and scout teams.
3. Scholarships in FB are no longer required to be full rides. Poorer programs will use that to get closer to 105. I can't image Blue Chips will give out partial scholarships.
I could see loading up on d-linemen and skill position players.
