USC was absolutely screwed by the refs in OT against Penn State. Two PI violations were not called and they were so blatant and obvious.
But this happens all the time now.
DBs are allowed to grab jerseys, force receivers out of bounds, wrap their arms around receivers, and collision receivers before the ball arrives. No flags!
It's totally ridiculous. There should be immediate reviews of obvious violations during the game. The booth should call down to the field.
The rules committee has to put an end to this madness.
Though the PI yesterday on Gray was a joke.
I even wonder sometimes what the replay people are looking at with some of their decisions. Maybe the game has become too fast for some of these officials. Imagine the days before replay. There were a few times officials couldn't even keep track of downs.
Said runner went OB before the goal line when replay clearly showed he never did. I wonder if some of them are on the take.
Is it pro wrestling? No. But the Miami game this year, the SC & UM and SC and PSU games certainly suggest certain outcomes are favored.
