It was a terrible call...but how do you reverse it when PI isn't reviewable?

It was a horrible call that should not have been reversed, because how do you reverse it. They did
that to protect themselves and effectively made up the rule as it goes to do this. The fans were about to go really berserk.
The officials on the field discussed it. There was no review. And on the other hand,
Texas got away with an obvious holding on the throw from the end zone. The Georgia lineman's jersey was completely stretched out.
So is the takeaway that if a call is bad and we throw enough shit on the field

Fair point. But when the call is that egregious the refs can huddle and reverse it. Look was bad,
but the decision was okay.
Look, I think what they did was perfect, but you can't pick and choose when you're gonna do it...
Either they can huddle (while peeking at the replay board) to fix egregious calls across the board in all games (not just ones where home crowd gets rowdy enough) or you don't do it in any games.
We've taken our fair share of L's from egregious PI calls, but it was always 'oh, so sorry, those just aren't reviewable, nothing we can do...you can send a written complaint to the league though'
That's right but they knew they screwed up and were saving face and possibly getting assaulted
because it was at Texas's home park.

I think they are allowed to do it on the field. But, one wonders if they saw the big screen replay.
