our offense is handcuffed by needing to support him with one and sometimes two tight ends any time we have to run the ball. I don't think he can start for us again once we're healthier at LT.
I won't disagree with you on that very important point, that his run blocking isn't the best. There are times that he's not getting the forward drive during certain running plays, and indeed, he does need TE help against the bigger DE's.
He needs an off-season of S&C with Coach Landow, and I'm pretty sure that by the fall of 2025, he'll be pushing 310 lbs after packing on 15 pounds of good muscle.
That being said, Knapp is doing a good job in pass protection, and the fact that he's better than Tosh Baker (5th year senior) is an indicator that he has a much higher ceiling.
I also think he would be better off at guard, instead of tackle. Once Charles Jagusah gets back to full health, he should seize the LT position with a vise grip.
