They may have flagged him for hitting the QB in the head or neck area with his arm
Thought the announcers focused on the landing part but his arm was up high when he hit him.

That's because he was going for the ball...I didn't see any head contact and..
ref didn't reach for the flag until after the landing. The one vs Louisville when the DL intentionally dropped his body weight on Leonard while he was flattened out was about 100 times worse.
Takes a whole lot to have me yelling at my TV in a game we're up 44-14.

I didn't say I agreed with it. Those who were in chat can attest that I thought it was bullshit.
Just trying to understand the rationale for the call. KVA's arm ended up wrapped around the QB's neck as they were heading to the ground. My thought was maybe that was what they called him for.
