The committee also has its own metrics and I would think, based on these computer rankings with differing criteria, ND would fare very well...right now. But obviously there is a time the computer rankings become less important to the committee, such as another loss. But right now ND is sitting good.

Another myth that needs to die
Just like the BIG LIE that has finally been buried - "Notre Dame is independent for the money' - this too needs to die.
It is reasonable to expect the CFP committee will behave similarly to past years. In the past, early losses were less damaging than late ones.
