The A&M win went from great to good.
The Navy win went from good to average.
The Louisville win went from average to good.
USC and FSU remain trainwrecks. ND needs to pound them both.
The NIU loss remains the worst amongst all playoff contenders.
Army should present a good win opportunity for ND.
Some more chaos would be nice, Tuesday's first ranking will answer a lot of questions.
The rest: what will be will be.
11. IND 12. Boise

I believe the CFP will release rankings, but not playoff seedings, on Tues. Obviously one can infer what the seedings will be based on the rankings, but they are two different things.

it seems a bit silly for them to not put it out how it would actually look if the season ended right now.
Otherwise they should just wait until the very end after Conf Champ games to release it.
For the committee to list a team as a top 4 seed requires a lot of assumptions at this point. Several teams are tied at the top of both the BIG and the SEC. Putting them in ranking order, instead, will show what the committee actually thinks of each team.
I personally would like to see how the committee ranks the teams. It will be easy to see the seeding order after that. The talking heads will analyze the CFP rankings and put them in seeding order.
You simply base on an 'if the season ended now' approach and list the team currently in 1st place in the conference as their bye and if it changes you adjust accordingly.
The committee knows the tie breaker rules for the conferences: Conf W/L, overall record, AP ranking, head to head results, common opponents, etc..
No guess work needed, assign byes based on current conference leader then seed the other 8 as you would right now with what has occurred good/bad up to this point.
So, yes in order to pick one to put in the top 4 seeds, the committee would have to make huge assumptions. It would just be so much simpler to merely rank the teams the way the committee has always done. I don't know how they will do it. I'm stating how I would like them to do it
9. Alabama 10. Indiana 11. ND 12. Boise St.
Woosh!
I'm sure there will be some 2 loss teams that stay in or play their way in by the end, but not right now.

No surprises or upsets. We also need at least 2 of PSU OSU Indiana with 2 losses. 2 of which are during regular season.
Oregon Georgia Miami etc.
We get into trouble if 2 loss Clemson wins acc and Miami gets in. Or an obvious SEC team that is going to get into playoffs Doesn’t win.
And we win out. That gives us the best chances.
A&M could lose again.
Just win out and pray. Nothing is a given.
Clearly Navy was overrated as I am sure Army is as well.
Until a team plays a bonafide opponent you have no idea who they are. Posers I’m sure
The same with Iowa State.
As much as I like Indiana's start and HC, they haven't played anyone yet either.
Tennessee is underwhelming as well.
Penn State is an eternal poser.

Illinois.
You know, those epic road wins at WVU and Wisconsin.
People actually believe that shit.
