I like MF a lot but every time we faced a team with Holtz, I thought we had the advantage. Not quite
three yet with MF.
While I think this is a conversation better left for postseason, you don't need to compare by names
Just stick to the numbers.
.760 is the standard as all 5 coaches who won NCs for ND, left with win percentages over .760%.
MF is currently at .743%...let's see where he is after the season.

Holtz teams were prepared and motivated every week
And Holtz coached teams passed the eye test. You could see the improvement from season to season. I
can remember the 1988 season vividly, and nearly every week, it was the game of the week. Holtz teams were well coached and physical.
Holtz inherited the Gerry Faust dumpster fire. Freeman was gifted a solid program by Kelly.
