1992 ND fans mocked BC and in 1993 they deprived us of a NC.

It can work if you know how to use it
A lot of the defense players on that 1992 squad will tell you how Coach Holtz constantly used the 1991 Tennessee game as a motivator, and it really pissed them off.
By the year's end, we had one of the best defenses in the nation, and 9 of the starters got drafted (10 if you include John "Shaft" Covington, who got displaced because of Bobby Taylor's emergence).
If I recall correctly, only Karmeelyah McGill and Greg Lane didn't get drafted, and even then, they were still priority free agents.
Tell that to MF. He has reminded his players of NIU all this week.
