I hope Jeter can kick at 75%, because "Dwight" Yoakam scares me. I was in L.A. in '96 when a missed extra point by ND caused the game to go to O.T. that ended that win streak.

The sad part was that kicker in 1996 was on scholarship, he was terrible his whole year.

Jim Sanson was one of Bob Davie's favorites
Sanson had a hard time making the easiest of kicks, especially that flubbed PAT in 1996 that cost us a Fiesta Bowl appearance.
If anything, he had a terrible record on PAT's. Even in his best year (1998), he still shanked 5 PAT attempts. Ask him to make an easy field goal (35 yards or less), and he's shank all too many of them.
On the other hand, ask him to make a 48 yard FG into the wind, and he'd actually have the best chance of almost any kicker. If I recall correctly, that was the Army game where they were really gaining momentum, while we were fizzling out, and he did manage to make that last second field goal.
