In looking at the teams ahead of us, Indiana will be solved this weekend (either OSU wins and IU drops or they win and a 2-loss OSU drops behind us). The wild card is Penn State. They likely won't make the Big 10 championship, and yet they are sitting pretty at #6 (totally undeserved). We need that happy little elf (PJ Fleck) to bring out the best in Gopherville. Row the Boat.
I'd love nothing more than hosting Ole Miss during a snowstorm in the dead of a South Bend winter.
....the "perennial loser" will have his Gopher boat get rowed. Ped $tate by 21+ pts....
…or not.
Irish have to win out first. Concern about USC out there.

With expected Indiana destruction, Penn St would move up to #4 ranking and #6 seed with us at 5 & 7.
His whole post was about us getting to the 6 seed which is currently blocked by Penn St.
In the end, loser of B1G CCG likely gets #5 seed and loser of SEC CCG likely gets #8 seed (unless 11-1 TX takes 2nd loss in CCG)..that leaves the 6 & 7 seed for PSU & ND if we both win out.

I'm from Ohio, but after first year and half in military spent in: South Carolina, North Carolina, Memphis, and Okinawa...my family would all laugh at me for being a little B about the cold, when I'd go home to visit and it wasn't even winter.
Acclimatization is a real medically/scientifically recognized thing, not something we just made up on UHND to frett about oppopponents.
People here always have excuses. The place is known for it.
Don't tell me you're one of these flat Earth guys.

But if you give me the choice of playing our asses off vs a Southern team in South Bend in December vs playing our asses off at a neutral Southern location...that's a no brainer for me.

pointing out discrepancies when they are valid.
For example vs UVA, they were calling valid holding calls against ND...they were consistently ""missing"" blatant out in plain sight holding by UVA where Mills and Young were blowing by their OL and getting grabbed literally from behind.
This has an impact on the game, denying this is borderline insanity.
You could pit the best team you want vs the worst team...if I'm out there as the ref and I allow the shit team to hold blatantly but I call it tight against the good team, I can make them look really bad and maybe even lose.
Silly refs right there on the field don’t have that advantage of you watching your TV in Texas
