I was 15, had already been a fan, but that play by Covington is cemented in my memory as the turning point.

Our biggest issue will be our offensive efficiency or lack of it.
We have way too many 3 and outs and that would kill us. In theory, army should never stop us but we do a damn good job of doing that ourselves
1st down success will go a long way in deciding this.
We might not get the number of plays we are used to, so we better be efficient.
We need to beat them by 21 points or more to be impressive.
I would hope our reserves are in by the 4th.
The starters could use a little rest for usc.
Pray also for no injuries.
To blow them out if they have some success offensively.
We killed navy partly because they imploded. Hard to put up 50 points unless u stop them completely. Possessions can be limited

Because of possible limited possessions by our offense, 3 and outs ain't gonna fly. neither are dropped passes, uncatchable passes, failing on two tries from their 5, failed FG attempts, holding by our OL, hands to the face mask by our OL We always hear that coaches need to do a better job coaching. Well, that goes two ways. Players need to do a better job playing. I don't need any credit for this advice. A convincing W will be satisfactory enough for me.
......more man-in-motion, scheme some TE dump passes over the middle, more screen passes to the RBs, etc. rather than just handing the ball off straight ahead between that A & B gaps 40 times pre game??
