How do you figure? ASU & ISU are at #16 & #18 now..

They'll likely move to 15 &16 this week and Clemson likely drops to somewhere around 18-20, maybe lower. Then it's just about what happens with AAC Champ.

Could Army make a move up with two games left to play before playoff selection day?

12-1 Army with only loss to #3 or 4 ND vs 3 loss Clemson with losses to #5 Georgia, Louisville, and South Carolina.

Not saying I'd bet on it but not out of realm of possibility either...how far Clemson drops this week will tell the tale of the tape.

Yeah, one of the two could...only 5 highest ranked Conf Champs get auto bids, the rest

Not possible. Guaranteed conference champion spots.

False. The top 5 ranked Conf Champs get auto bids, with the 4 highest

ranked conference champions getting the byes. Those top 4 spots aren't reserved for the power 4 Champs, they are for the 4 highest ranked conf Champs.

ie, let's say the eventual conf Champs for these 6 conferences were ranked ad such:
B1G 13-0 Oregon #1
SEC 11-2 UGA #5
Mnt West 12-1 Boise #9
ACC 10-3 Clemson #13
AAC 12-1 Army #16
Big 12 10-3 Colorado #22

If the above scenario played out, B1G, SEC, Mnt Wet, and ACC would get the byes, the AAC would get auto bid at 12th seed as 5th highest Conf Champ and Big 12 would watch from home eating popcorn.

Correct, but the AAC isn't trumping the B12.

I don't care who wins the B12.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Sorry, I misread...thought you said ACC

I agree it's unlikely, but it was more likely when Colorado was a possibility for the Big 12 CCG.

Depends who wins ACC...if it's SMU they're ranked way higher than both teams playing in Big 12 CCG..

if Clemson wins then it gets tricky since ww have no idea how far they'll fall from South Carolina loss.

They should be out of top 20 if you ask me...they have 3 losses and their best wins are vs 6-6 NC State & 6-6 VA Tech.

Correct. ACC and BIG 12 winners are in Top 4

ACC and BIG12 wnners are not in the top four. In fact Boise will be in the top 4 this year.
