And we did that without Rylie Mills.

Simply amazing.

I actually think UGA was better off without Beck. Gunner played well and his fumble would have happe

He was accurate, and has a very strong arm

It wasn't his fault that his receivers dropped at least 6 passes, and that those throws hit them in the hands.

He has a stronger and more accurate arm than Caron Beck has. The only issue was timing, which will probably get hammered out in the spring.

How much of a difference would the game be with Riley & Carson Beck?

The offensive lines were the real story

Both teams fielded excellent defenses.

Our offensive line did enough to protect Riley Leonard. Kudos to Joe Rudolph for getting that patchwork line ready against a heck of a quality front seven.

Georgia's offensive line wasn't quite up to the task. We weren't even playing with a full deck, considering that Bothelo, Traore, and Mills were out of action.

All the SEC hype about Ga.OL proved to be just that. We pretty much owned them

We'll never know. UGA scored less than 20 in regulation 4 times. 2.5 games with Beck

They were possibly on track for 3, as the Beck-led offense only scored 3 pts in 1st half in SEC championship. UGA was middle of the pack in SEC for total offense and 5th for scoring offense.

Things that probably would have been the same if Beck started.

1. Poor run-game. Second worse in SEC. Didn't get going this game.
2. WR drops. Worst in NCAA. The terrible wide open drop ended up not really mattering as that was UGA's sole TD drive.
3. General passing stats. Stockton completion percentage and yard/pass basically mirrored what Beck has done this season (62.5 vs 64.7) and (7.3/7.8). Beck's are better, but Stockton only played a top defense.

Things that might have been better.

1. Pass protection. Beck might have stopped a sack or 2 through audible and protection shifts. Key word might. None of Stockton's sacks were a result of the QB holding onto the ball for way too long. The strip sack just prior to the end of the first half took <3 seconds.
2. False starts. Stockton didn't do anything wrong, but backup QBs have different cadences than the starter, and this often breaks the O-line rhythm. Maybe 1 of the false starts don't happen.

Would Beck starting be worth 13 pts over Stockton? I don't think so. UGA fans have been grumbling about the offense all year.

The left side of the UGA O line was getting dog walked every play. Beck wouldn’t have been protected

any better, and Mills is a beast so about the same.

Precisely the exact reason Beck was not in the lineup... Because the OL didn't protect him. And we

That is a good point.
