Many of you will recognize that his son Marty is the special teams coach of the Notre Dame football team. In an emotional swing his father passed away just hours after the Indiana game and Marty’s wife
Rachael gave birth to twins just two days before that game. In an interview after the Georgia game ,
Marty said:
“I know Dad’s watching from Heaven”.
