Sounds very unfortunate after a fall in New Orleans.
Biagi lost his dad as noted below too. Hope they rest in peace and families find comfort. Sounds like they were both good men. Both raised great coaches

When they played Notre Dame Our Mother my dad lost it. He was always the Rock of the family but he was sobbing. Even though it was really hard to get through this is what people don't understand. Notre Dame isn't just football. It's about family, being a Catholic school, the Grotto, Golden Dome, Touchdown Jesus....The campus is and will always be magical.

Will be in his b day. Growing up in NEPA I know he would root for psu if ND weren’t playing them or there was some ND angle. We had a lot of friends and family that were big PSU fans and alumni. He took the ribbing well but always gave it back. I never shared in his positive attitude toward Penn st. Kinda fitting they get to duke it out in his b day.
My dad’s first time on NDs campus was when I was visiting considering it for grad school. He was more excited than I was. Perhaps the greatest gift I ever have gave him was the chance to be on campus and know more about the school than just football. He got a back door tour of the physics dept and met a college classmate that taught chemistry at ND. At the grad student wine and cheese during graduation we met fr malloy. Say what u might about him but my dad loved meeting him. He loved the whole experience each time he came.
I owe him my love for ND, not just for the football team
Today would have been my paternal grandfathers 120th b day. He was a a big fan of the e team and the school especially in the earlier years since he was born in 1905

My apologies if not accurate
it's sad but there are so many of these fake deaths out there I always feel the need to ask.
