I like this ND team. I like the coaching staff. I like the AD. I fucking love the players: Love, Cross III, X-Man, Shuler, Riley, Coogan (the salty version), ect, ect.
Penn State is a faux football power. Their best years were led by a soulless piece of shit who placed winning above the safety and security of kids in need of help. Happy Valley is a misnomer; that place is a gateway to hell. The native Americans who once called those lands home knew it.
Joe knew.
Go Irish.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's, we as fans expected ND to dominate. Everyone.
ND had dudes all over the program.
ND had kick ass assistant coaches.
ND had Vinny Cerrato.
Remember 3 of them very well.

back in the late 60's and early 70's, we as fans expected n.d. to dominate. everyone.
n.d. had dudes all over the program.
n.d. had ara and kick ass assistant coaches.
n.d. had alan page, nick buoniconti, terry hanratty, jim seymour, and george goeddeke, among a host of other giants.
it was magical.
heartbreaking game ever, maybe 1993 BC comes close. But that USC game started it and to this day I am in my body but always experience out of my mind levels with each and every game. I enjoy this season and the era I believe we are entering so much with the wonderful attitude of a positive kid that people who see me can't comprehend. I remember 90% of the games with such detail which I have spoken of before. I replay every loss which I believe I will not have to do so much anymore. I was terribly depressed after Ohio State loss last time but truly believed with the Freeman attitude that this year we would win every game after the debacle game. This coach is amazing to me in the hope he gives me. I loved Ara and the knowledge that we were truly America's team. With Holtz I thought he gave us an edge every game against brutal schedules. I gave Kelly more credit than so many of you do but I was wrong. I am completely confident in Marcus for the renewal dominance I anticipate. PSU is mostly make believe but they are actually legitimate this year. I can't wait for this game and hopefully justice prevails because we blew a lot of games we should have won against them particularly in 1981, 1983, 1987, 1990 and even in their national title years of 1982 and 1986.

Bowl their QB praised the hell out of him, saying he never saw a better linebacker. Number 37.

-For '73 I was alive, but a baby..
-For '77 I was a rug rat, not able to grasp what it was, but just seeing that something magical was going on..
-For '88-'93 I was fully aware and fully engulfed in the magic, going from Jr High to HS to becoming a newly minted US Marine talking all my ishh and fighting all the fights living in NE Ohio draped in ND gear..
-Then in 2012, as a husband, father, MSgt, there was a glimmer of that feeling for the briefest of moments, but it was stolen by an asshole who didn't appreciate the opportunity in front of him and only saw ND as a stepping stone to boost HIM to something bigger or better.
-In 2024/25 the story remains unwritten and the ending is unknown, but we no longer have the problem of a self righteous man who doesn't appreciate the opportunity in front of him.
Win or lose, we have the right guy for Notre Dame and by the Grace of God..I'm Here For It!

I've gone back and watched it on YouTube a few times. ARA ran the old Wing T. Now I am going to have to watch it again today.
