A common explanation for fumbles, but to say ND "didn't do anything to like stop us" is flat wrong
UGA rushed 30 times for 66 yards. UGA gave up 4 sacks despite being ranking in Top 25 for sacks allowed per game. The "yuge" offensive line that was supposed to push around ND's undersized injury backups got pushed around themselves much of the game, and had trouble pass blocking whether ND blitzed or not - strip sack to end 1H was a 4 man rush.
They managed to score almost twice as many points the week prior against the SEC runner up Texas with Stockton as QB in the second half and overtime.
They had their lowest scoring total all season, 2nd worst 3rd down % and rushing totals, and bottom 5 games for total yards and passing yards even though Stockton had to air it out the whole second half playing behind. The games where they threw fewer passing yards including 2 games they won by 2+ TDs.

Georgia beat ND 17-10 where ND had 4 turnovers plus a kickoff that they failed to field and Georgia recovered at the 1 yard line that Georgia turned into a TD. ND threw 3 interceptions and a fumble at the 22 yard line that Georgia turned into another TD.
