Most will probably say after NIU but I thought Riley deserved to be the starter until the first bye. I kept going back to what Denbrock said. "We will be a good offense but it will take some time". He was right. What's the old saying? He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Riley was a cross between Charlie Sheen (Major League) & Tim Robbins (Bull Durham). You didn't know where the hell the ball was going. That was the knock on Josh Allen. Great runner that could make a defense look horrible but would overthrow a wide open receiver by ten yards. As long as he plays his game - take care of the ball, use his legs when he needs to and hits on short to medium passes he's done everything he can do.
UGA win.
With the big scores rolled up in multiple games, Angeli should have seen much more time in the second half of any game just for backup experience in case the starter was injured and to add balance to ND's arsenal just in case.
