High ankle sprain. Tosh Baker or Charles Jagusah will take his spot.
I don't blame Loren Landow for the high number of injuries, since they've pretty much been freak ones that could have happened to anyone, regardless of conditioning.

I'm guessing if you took a look at other schools, you'd see the same level of injury. Georgia, for one, was missing two starting OL for the Sugar Bowl in addition to their starting qb. Their starting best RB, Etienne, played in 10 of their 14 games. In fact, only 25 Georgia players played in all 14 games and only 34 played in at least 13 games. In contrast, ND had 40 players who played in all 15 games, 44 who played in 14 games and 55 who played in 13 games.
Perhaps Georgia should also look at their training staff.
It is a long season.
Anyone, especially the big guys, can land awkwardly, or have some other big body roll up on an ankle or a knee.
Those are simply freak injuries, and can happen to anyone, regardless of conditioning. This is where Lady Luck can be one fickle shrew indeed.
Loren Landow has our guys in great physical shape. The way the defense was able to rebound after being on the field way too long in the 1st half of the Orange Bowl, and stay strong for the rest of the game shows the effects of the S&C program.
It was even more impressive after having played a hard-fought, physically bruising game against Georgia just a week before.

He's healthy enough and light years better than Baker.
