Chicago sports media won't leave this issue alone. Now Dave Wannstedt getting into the act.
The Score 670 AM Chicago reported this morning that a background check is underway for all potential candidates including Marcus. At least one morning radio host over there is speaking up by saying all this Marcus Freeman talk has to stop because right now MF is preparing for the biggest game of his life. No distractions. He also said that Marcus is exactly where he should be coaching at Notre Dame. Leader of young men. Living the example. Holding yourself and each other responsible. Then they went ahead and made fun at ND's chances with Riley at QB against the OSU defense and the 9 point spread. You gotta love the sports media. Most of these sports media types along with the sideline gal reporters need to go the way of the Edsel.
I have formally requested a date with Ana de Armas. The odds she accepts are the same as Freeman

The chatter is not coming from people on the inside who do the hiring.
It's coming from sports talk shows and the dudes who call in. It's coming from the hosts who no nothing abouut anything.
Everything I clicked on shows a guy from the NFL Network is saying this. I would take it with a
grain of salt for sure.
We better keep an eye of the ND private jet & if it goes to Chicago. That will get the gossip going.
