‘Of course we are going to win, ND is going to play hard and they are a good team but we will definitely win’
Seems like a theme. Makes u wonder if OSU players have the same thought.
Punch them in the mouth and see what happens
Get behind early by a couple of scores and it may be rough sledding trying to play catch up. FGs won't do it. TDs are required. ND earned this game. It wasn't given to them. The media and analysts will do and say what they will. None of them thought ND would be here after the NIU game. They were laughing at the Irish then and many, not all, are laughing at the Irish now. They think the 9 point spread is hilarious. All our guys can do is lace them up and see what happens. Our staff are not a bunch of chumps. They're solid. There are 100 other programs who would love to be in ND's shoes right now , playing as a dog in the national championship game, riding a 13 game win streak.
Let the fans and media fill the airwaves with how great OSU and how bad ND is. Let it get into the locker room.
“Ok coach, I’m sure ND has a lot of talent but ESPN isn’t showing any of them going 1st round.”
Let them start planning the celebrations. Let our guys hear all the nose. Let them get pissed.
The good news, the game still has to be played.

I got a few comments, but mostly good natured.
Yes, they are confident, but they should be.
We are changing the narrative, one victory at a time. Let's finish the job!
I trust in Al Golden. If we can avoid the Leonard brain-fart INTs, I like our chances.

Issue of the team feels that way, fans and pundits don’t count at game time
I am not running around proclaiming ND is going to win although I am hopeful.
I caught a little flack in the gym the other day. Some older buck made a comment to me about another ND shirt, they are coming out of the woodworks. I just nodded my head and moved along

Probably two thirds of Americans who pay any attention to college football think about the same. I personally think we are considerably more talented than the dominant narrative says, and that the Buckeyes will be underprepared for the challenge the ND team will bring. But the doc is not a kooky homer at all.

Nobody from Led Zeppelin would be caught singing that.
