If any team beat these Associated Press final regular season poll teams - #8 Indiana, #2 Georgia, #4 Penn State, and #6 Ohio State for the National Championship, they are going to be celebrated as a team that earned the championship. No one is going to say that that team did not earn the championship. And that goes for Notre Dame. In fact, ND might become even more celebrated because of the way they overcame the plethora of injuries that this ND team suffered.
