Leonard may give you decent YPC but only Love and Price can break big plays.
Plus they are workhorses carrying the ball.
Seems they were pressed on making RL the "hero" instead of getting the ball to their best offensive player. 31 pass attempts and 17 carries....damn

That second drive was killed by a false start and a holding call where the flag usually stays in the pocket.

Lornard also rushed 70% of the time.
Didn't think he was all that great the first time he was here. I would take a wild guess and say he's probably middle of the pack when it comes to coordinators. I've seen nothing to indicate he's elite, and last night was a perfect example. Dink and dunk with Leonard as your main rusher only worked one series until Knowles adjusted, and then Denbrock had no answers until he was forced to open it up. And what happened? ND finally looked like they belonged on the field.
I don't know if Freeman knows enough about offensive football to see Denbrock is only average. My feeling is we're stuck with this guy for years.

Given him enough shots at the edge and he's gonna break one.
Only that didn't happen.
Featuring a Riley Leonard running straight up and then falling forward running game made no sense.
