Godspeed to you, and thank you for your hard work here.
I was a bit surprised, since he could have certainly held onto the starting G position here.

They have to rebuild the roster every year.

It would have been nice for the guys to stay with their valuable experience but there is ample competition for "their" slots.
They both have their degrees, or will by semester end, so good luck to them. They have been solid Irish.
treating Craig coming back from his injury as a given is silly. The Coogan loss hurts, possibly more than we even know at the moment.

departures, but I have to imagine some of the younger guys such as Lambert already look impressive and will start next year. It's a good problem to have but with these playoffs and the longer seasons, you need depth.
oogan also transferring.
Both Spindler and Coogan will have their ND degrees. I hope they find success at their next places, just not against us, of course.
Given how Anthonie Knapp had his baptism by fire as a true freshman, and came out stronger, I'm guessing he has a shot at the RG position, and would probably be the 2nd C.

Still, with the off-season, Coach Rudolph has ample time to get the youngsters ready.
Between Black, Augustine, and Herron, someone may be ready as a true frosh to play. All three of those guys were pretty polished coming out of high school.
Knapp is already battle proven, and I suspect he'll be starting at RG. With an off-season of strength and conditioning, along with spring and fall camps, he's going to be a more powerful force this year. Even another 15 pounds of muscle (he was playing at 290 most of last year) will go a long ways towards improving things, and he has the frame to support it without losing speed.
Lambert should ready to go, and challenging for a starting spot somewhere. I don't know what to make of Prescod and Jones, though.
Absher and Otting should be ready to step in at any second, seeing how they'll be true juniors, and will have had two full years of Coach Rudolph's mentoring.
f*ck happened!" Lol.
