.....might have been a better fit than Ash to be co-DC with Mickens??? He was at ND from 2018 - 2023 - he knows Freeman, the culture, what ND is all about, etc.

Your post is a stretch to even place on this board let alone suggest he's an ND fit.

not a great recruiter. Most who closely follow the program were not disappointed when he left.

which is what Freeman wanted. Mickens has more overall experience than O'Leary so If he wasn't going to promote Mickens, why would be hire O'Leary for co-DC?
