Even against a really good Notre Dame defense OSU receivers made it look to easy. I think Hartline is Ohio St.'s WR guru. ND has swung and missed on to many guys recently. Is Freeman getting out recruited or are the wrong assistants coaches not getting it done? At some point the passing game has to compliment the runniing game.

He would be fired at nd in 15 seconds if pull that while employed at nd..but yes he is the wr whisperer
I imagine the Georgia coaching staff had a good laugh about that.
We weren't playing a QB who could make all of the throws the way Hartman could, so I am somewhat doubtful that having those guys on the roster, versus the players we did put on the field, would have been any better.
That, plus most of them ended up being unfortunate injury casualties.
Tyree was the most promising, but he was crippled by injuries for most of 2024.
Rico Flores had a decent start, but couldn't play another down when October came around due to injuries. He had to have some significant surgery, and will miss spring camp. He isn't expected to be back until the fall.
Tobias Merriweather didn't even see the field until November because of a nasty injury to his foot during the fall.
Braylon James was mostly a special teams guy, nabbing 3 receptions last year for 11 yards, 2 of them coming against Long Island University (FCS). Given that pass-happy offense there and his excellent talent, I would have thought he'd get more receptions (they threw for over 4,000 yards in 2024).

injuries caught up to them in the NC. I believe things would have been different with Morison, Mills, Botelho, Traore, et al….
