After that NIU game, I was firmly of the belief that he was a one-trick pony (just running). I was also of the belief that we wouldn't have been any worse off had we started Steve Angeli. I still do believe that Angeli could have brought us to the playoffs, though.
As the season went on, Leonard adapted, listened to Coach Guidugli and Coach Denbrock, and the coaching staff was able to squeeze out every bit of potential from him. Towards the end of the season, he was actually making receiver read progressions, and making the right choice more often than not.

I think we'd have been a more consistent and balanced offense with Angeli for most of the season. But I'm not sure we'd have beaten Georgia without Leonard.
