Very disappointing to see. Loved to watch him play.

It's disappointing but if Urlacher is the "biggest name" to enter the portal, I can live w/ that

Guys get a good gauge in where they fall in the pecking order during practice.

Perhaps he was not as high in the depth chart as he wanted or perhaps ND wasn't for him

Best of luck to him. He has some good moments when he got to play. Aggressive and big hitter.

Not sitting out a year has changed the sport as much as anything money obviously too.

Or get more in NIL. Or go to an easier school. Or...

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Sorry to hear that. I liked his style of play when he got in last season.

Yep. Pretty much a staple on special teams.

Wow. Didn't see that one coming. I thought he was going to be really good for ND.

Last year, he showed a knack for putting himself into great position to make tackles, etc., much like his old man did.

Still, there's a lot of excellent safety talent on the roster, and more coming in as true freshmen. I can understand his wanting to get a starting spot somewhere.

Best wishes to him for his future. He's a really good guy, and I hope he thrives.

Some suggesting he may be headed to usc.

He's one of the more reliable predictors when it comes to ND football.

II fear it’s USC too. Seems he already has a new landing spot.

It is reported that Chad Bowden originally helped to recruit Urlacher to ND.
